The beast is back
Well. I'm sure I had a thread once upon a time but it appears I am so inactive it's been deleted so here goes. I'm back from the dead! Well almost. Rebuild is in progress and it's been a long delayed and distracted process bit it's near coming together. Many photos videos and other to follow.

Bringing 'docs' MR2 back to life. It has been a hell of a journey so far and there's so much still to do. i was hoping for a head gasket leak and wham bam thank you mam wack in a new gasket and machine the head but ooooh no. detonation of the pistons and foreign object in cylinder 1. HKS stroker crank was cracked. Cracked header. So lucky i didn't destroy it and total the block and head! Main components of the rebuild include: late model st205 block and head head fully worked stock valves. repaired and ceramic coated HKS 272 cams and cam gears Wiseco custom HD ATS stroker pistons. ceramic coated Argo Rods ATS machined 5sgte stroker crank ARP 625+ headstuds HKS GT 3040 turbo m800 motec water injection ceramic coated HKS headers Ceramic coated HKS dump pipe custom electronic water pump HKS 1000 cc injectors HKS fuel rail twin bosch fuel pumps something ignition. cant remember and lots of other things. I'll have more details when i start the rebuild and put some effort into organising my photos and the whole story. internals getting balanced this week.

Sounds like an epic build with some great parts. Looking forward to having more cars on the road.

Couple updates. Exhaust housing coated and looking sweet. New rubber for the rears and waiting on a couple parts from the US 🇺🇸 to progress the build. Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk

Ok so I've assembled the engine. Wish I'd paid closer attention to what seals and stuff I needed - delayed the build over and over with just tiny orings and missing dowels and random stuff like that.
