Is the second o2 sensor needed?
Like the question in the heading, is the lower o2 sensor of a sw20 needed? What does it do?
I am having a delema, I put a aftermarket dump pipe similar to this
http://www.ebay.com.au/it...10cd8551#ht_1118wt_905
. The top hole I have the cars o2 sensor, the middle has a a AEM Wideband 02 sensor, and the bottom, has well, nothing. The OEM sensor does not fit any holes but I would like to know what it is for. Does it do anything in particular, is it there just for CAT failure warning. Is it even needed?
If it is needed I will more than likely buy a generic 2 wire sensor and wire it in.
Thoughts from the pro's?

+1, its only a temperature sensor. Might throw up an error light, but definitely won't effect the engine.
