Opinions? 1998 or 1994 wheels?
Was almost going to get some 1998 wheels, now i am in 2 minds. My 1994 wheels need to be repainted, so i was thinking it would be easier to just get some 1998 wheels. But now im thinking the 94 wheels suit it better. The 98 are a newer style but they also look very similar to the spider wheels, and a bit more dainty looking with the narrower spokes on such small wheels. ;p Opinions?

Neither, aftermarket. Spokes are too wide on the 94 wheels IMO.

It's all a matter of your own personal taste really. Assuming you want to stick with 15's, I personally think the early 15 inch wheels have a very individual look anyway, while the '98 wheels look is very common. On the other hand, does anyone know if the '98 wheels are lighter? Less unsprung weight may be a good way to go.

Aftermarket or just paint your 94 wheels yourself. Watch "Wheeler Dealer" for a bit of comic inspiration *britty accent*

My preference has alway been the 94+ wheels, but the shiny ones not the matte silver ones

If you want to paint your '94 wheels try SP 117 VHT Flat Auminum spray cans. After checking out several silver colors I found this the best match for the original.

Wheeler Dealers is brilliant, got every season, although they make repairs look way easier than they are. Job Done! I thought about stripping and polishing to a shiny finish, but too much effort and then i would probably buy 17s later anyway. I stick with mine for now and do a metallic silver paint or maybe just silver with a few clear coats.

When I sold my '97 SW20 it had the standard 15" polished alloys on it and they looked great IMO. I know the guy that bought it removed them and put Aurion Presara wheels on it for some reason so he may still have the originals. Only problem is that he is in Victoria but if you are interested PM me for his contact details.

94 looks better i think. if your buying wheels later then just leave them as is and change later on to the ones you want.

I'd say go aftermarket. Its too hard trying to find descent tyres for the 15' rims now!

My vote is for the 98+ wheels as well. Assuming you car has a stock body. (No bodykits etc)

I agree with Wiz, my 96 Polished were the best looking for a stock standard model.
