92 to Gen 3 taillight conversion

Hey so I have a 92 with the gen 3 taillights and the key doesn't reach the lock cause I guess the tailights stick out further than the original ones or something so I have to open the front door and pop the boot from there and with hands full of groceries it can be a bit annoying. So my question is if I get the 94+ Kouki Trunk Lock Cylinder Will that fix my problem? Also I would have to get it re pinned for my key wha sort of places do that? Any Mechanics? lock smiths? Toyota?

The later model cylinder will fix your problem.
Any good locksmith should be able to modify the new lock to take the same key as the ignition.
The pic shows a comparison of the early model to the later one.

You could also try Dylan (Gorrilla, forum sponsor) , DB8 (forum member), or RPM garage Hong Kong as well

Dylan (Dylmrt) said he should be getting some if I remember correctly
    or
Chris (DB8) has them in stock (I bought one off him, arrived within a week in its nice sealed Toyota wrapping)

Would try PMing them both on this forum for a quick reply.

I've emailed DB8 twice now the first time about 3 weeks ago probably but we'll see hopefully I get a reply from someone soon.

Would there be a different lock for the doors from different years or are they all the same? It appears someone has tried to break into the pasanger door the lock looks like it's been messed with a screw driver so the key won't fit in so my driver door is the only one that works so I'll need to be replacing that too soon
