Yep, it has been customary for non-MR2's to bring up the rear, behind any non-MR2 Toyotas (of course).
I should take this moment to remind everyone that this is not a race, all road rules apply, and you should be on your best behaviour.  That includes you, the old Grey Kiwi in the white SW.

Oh, that's right.

That's me

See you all tomorrow . . .

Not looking like the best day for it. if the weather doesnt improve very quickly,i'm staying home and watching cricket. (If it's not raining in Tas too)

Hey Bustin, I even cleaned my car just for this and we'll be there rain or shine (no hail of course).

Come on, what if the cricket gets washed out like it did yesterday?? You'll be there alone on the couch with nothing to do. We want to discuss where the "Club" is going today and your input is valued so hopefully you can make it. If it does rain, well think of it as a free car wash.

Be good to see you there.

Enjoy the day guys.  Prob would have taken up the rear in the evo but I need to replace the clutch in it.  If I get time a little later I might pop down cormorant bay and say g'day.

Sorry I missed you guys at Oxley maccas. Only reason I din't go there 1st was I was sure I'd be late. Ah well, got there eventually, even went the long way around the lake, all good was a good drive. First real 'drive' on the BC's. Thumbs up I reckon, even though I have nothing but worn out stock susp to compare it too.
On "The Way Foward". I think some real progress was made, some very good ideas to work with. Lately I've been thinking of selling my AW and getting something else, days like today make me want to keep it forever. So, until next time, be safe and have a merry xmas and a happy new year.

Thanks everyone for coming today. It was a great run. Getting 11 cars together was tremendous and was rightfully topped off as always at Christmas by Louise's chocolate cake.

We also welcomed some new members to the MR2 fraternity, including Dave with his AW11 powered by the twelve speed gas turbine engine out of the Batmobile ,  and Blake with a really nice and obviously well-cared for red 1989 SW turbo. If I missed anyone I apologise but I do have the best excuse because at my age you can claim senior moments - and its true!! (where were we again?)

The storm holding off right until the end was a bonus and gave us the opportunity to discuss openly and frankly what the future might hold for the Club. Everyone feels the outcome was very positive so we'll now put our best efforts into trying to meet expectations. This wont be easy but we will certainly do our best to make sure the Club survives and prospers.

Have a very happy Christmas and a top 2012.

See you at the first run in February but keep a lookout for the new website and run calendar.

An excellent day, the reasonable weather was a bonus.  Good to see some new faces, and most of the usual suspects.
Yes, a good discussion and a positive direction for the club..
To all, have a merry and safe Christmas - and I look forward to seeing my extended MR2 family in the New Year.

It was great catching up again. It's been too long between runs !
The run over Nebo and down to Wivenhoe was good (had almost forgotten what a brillliant road it is) despite the Safety Car. Wivenhoe Dam lived up to its rain-free reputation, thankfully.
I'm really pleased we have decided to "formalize" our Club. It's the right decision and will, I believe, reinvigorate its activities and participation.
Looking forward to working on this and coming up with an exciting calendar of events for 2012
Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and support.
Merry Xmas & HNY to you all.
cheers
Steve

Lolz. Check out the picture with the tow trucks. They look like vultures.
My car broke down on the way back up Glorious. Had to use electrical tape to seal a vacuum leak . Hurray for tape!

Just wanted to stick my head in and say thanks to everyone for a great day out. I have owned AW11’s since I was 19 and this was my first experience going to a club day out and was really enjoyable. Was great to meet other people that are so passionate about the MR2’s.

Really looking forward to some more runs in 2012, with some luck I will be able to bring along my 4AGTE AW11 for the next cruise.

Also just wanted to throw out a big thanks to Dennis, he has been helping me take care of my two AW11’s since I got them, both have thrown him a few curve balls in their life with me so far and with his help we have been able to tackle most of it, still a little more to come yet. :P

Once again was really nice to meet everyone and can’t wait for some more gatherings in 2012. ;)

A great day out - all things considered (knew I shouldn't have worn that white T-shirt)! Thanks to Scope for the spare idler-pulley nut, & thanks to Tralfaz for coming back to see if I was all right! Car's all back tyogether & running sweet. It was a bit iffy on the way from the dam to Scope's, as the fan wasn't really up to demisting the 'screen & I wasn't game to run the headlights in case the battery flattened out!
