rear mount heat exchanger

ok I know a couple of people have done this around the world in their mr2.
http://www.youtube.com/us...VIDS#p/u/9/axAP1p9psLo

I want to mount my heat exchange radiator for the water to air intercooler on the rear.
advantages:
- less pipe work
- the bosch cobra pump would be adequate
- rear looks mean =D
- easier

Do you guys/girls, noobs, experts think that it be much different to mounting at the front, powerwise??
Would it support 350rwhp?

try and talk me out of it. I would front mount it, but it seems to be too much work (I don't have much spare time, being a workaholic and alcoholic)

It will heat soak from the engine heat, or exhaust, depending were you put it, thats the whole advantage of going w2a is so you can put the heat exchanger in a spot with the most air flow, ie front of the car, and away from heat, ie front of the car.

As to the car in the vid, awesome 2000gt  but very very poor water lines, so close to kinking and has no bulkheads or grommets. I hate seeing cars that look FN awesome from a distance, prob make good power but when you look at little detail bits there just shonky.

Yeah, I'm going with no. IF you're going to go W2A the point is to move the point of HE to somewhere more efficient, not less. the exhaust it going to generate a lot of heat, and there isn't a huge amount of air flow there behind the exhaust either.

chausta if you go to wtfauto any time soon ask tristan, he had a rear mount HE for a lil while in his mr2 seq turbo v6. he had shrouds etc made to suit. he eventually went st205 HE up front, but you can ask him how well it supported his 500odd hp.

the only thing it's saving you is hose length which is neg in cost. i don't see why the bosch pump will care if theres longer hoses.
