1991 Toyota Celica Group A Rallye. CHEAP!
So it's time I get off my posterior and get rid of this car, seeing as it's sat at my parents place for the last 18 months or so without moving, and I'm worried they will call one of those 'free car removers' from the local paper.
Let me start by saying, if you are after a perfect condition collectible Group A Rallye, or something you can drive to Vicroads/RTA tomorrow and register, this is NOT the car for you. With a little bit of work, this could be a daily driver or weekend car, or a perfect track car. It was my daily for over 5 years and never really let me down.
As it sits currently, it's on 3 wheels with the front end on jack stands, owing to a dodgy wheel bearing I pulled apart but never replaced. To pick it up, I could either temporarily bolt the front hub back together with the old bearing, just to be able to roll it on a truck/trailer, or you could pay me a deposit and I'll get it replaced :)
It's well out of rego by about 18 months, so no it won't come with any rego :)
The body is in good, straight condition, the paint still looks good, underneath the large amount of dust and cobwebs currently on it. Has a few scratches from the cat jumping on it and dad walking past it with the wheelie bins. Interior is fairly good also. When last driven, the engine ran well, and the car generally drove well apart from the hideous noise from the LHF wheel bearing area.
Ok, the good:
-Genuine Group A Rallye #53
-~250,000km on chassis
-Engine replaced with a low km 'rebuilt' 3SGTE a few years back. Engine supposedly has a bunch of goodies inside, (forgies etc) I won't guarantee this though as I naievely bought it from a Greek dude on ebay :p
-17" Advanti Rally Tech wheels
-Eibach lowered springs
-Whiteline rear sway bar
-Highflowed CT26 turbo
-3" exhaust all the way through
-Rare electric sunroof
-If you ask really nicely, I'll leave all the stereo stuff in there, if you're into that sort of thing :)
-With a very thorough wash and polish, it could still look like this:

The bad:
-Front LHF wheel bearing/hub as mentioned above
-Engine burns some oil, mainly after idling for a while. Compression was very good when last tested though, so may not be a huge issue.
-Could do with new brakes, CV and steering boots, probably a general freshen up
-Needs new battery. The one in it was brand new but got left to flatten totally so is probably dead.
Now, with all this in mind, and if you look at the prices that clean original ones go for

I am open to some negotiation if it means a quick sale.
So bring a fistful of cash, and a car trailer or truck, and come and take this thing away before I have time to mourn the amount of time and money I have wasted over the years :(
