Looking for info on Bathurst edition Gearboxs

Hey all, sorry if this has been covered im not good on forums lol
I have a 95 SW20 Bathurst edition and was told it had an E153 in it (presumably from stock according to the previous owner) and i wanted to know if that was possible and where i would go about finding the Part numbers etc. would be a little disappointing to find out its just an S54 as im looking into doing a 2gr swap.

Thanks!

Its unlikely to be an E153 as these came with the turbo cars as far as I understand. Can you posy some photos?

I've got a bathurst that's been in the family since essentially new, I'll get a pic of the comp plate next time I'm with the car if you like.

Bathursts came with an S54 from the factory.  If it has an E153 it's likely been swapped at some point...

It would be most unlikely to have an E153 but it is quite easy to check.
Look toward the bellhousing from immediately in front of the left rear tyre.
E153 has a U shaped steel pipe about 3/8inch diam. externally mounted and fully visible.

Another easy check would be your 100kmph RPM.
S54 should be around 2,800 and E153 around 2,200 RPM.
