Turbo to I/C hose thoughts

Hi there,

Thoughts on where to buy the rubber hose that goes from the hot pipe to intercooler in an SW20 (right side of the engine)?

eBay seems to have them in a kit with other hoses and can probably find a silicone hose at supercheap that I can manipulate but keen to hear of something I hadn't thought of.

Cheers

    Anything on this?

It's the hose on the left in the attachment.

Would just be helpful if someone says "use xx degree hose"

Where about's are you located? you after a new third party replacement? I'm sure there are plenty of used OEM ones available, i've got one in a tub somewhere i'll dig it out tomorrow and see what alternatives there are

I'm in Sydney. The part is discontinued so can't be ordered through amayama etc, in all my searchIng I have only found one silicone hose kit that includes that hose however as my other hoses have already been replaced I would ideally just like to replace that one hose.

It's a funny hose with a few subtle angles so it's difficult to tell what will fit without trial and error (I've got a lot of my engine pulled apart at the moment).

I went away from oem ones because if I did find one I figured they would be in the same 30yr old condition and thought if I could find the right silicon replacement it would be good.

And thanks very much Tiff, that would be appreciated.

Dragged my old one out, yeah it has a couple of odd angles that I don't think you're going to get away with when using a generic off the shelf hose.
Short of a samco your best bet is going to be a chinese knock off, or better yet upgrade the intercooler and just get a custom setup.

Chinese knock off, keep searching there is no doubt many more

Thanks, that's great, I don't search alibaba often at all. I've been tossing up the intercooler choice a fair bit...

If you upgrade the intercooler at least you won't be locked into the OEM bespoke boost hose, that and just about every other guy before you has upgraded so there is plenty of guides and info out there making it relatively straight forward.

    Thanks Tiff.

I believe it was 'two_dogs' or similar I was chatting to via PM. Mate not sure what happened but I lost your last unread message and previous PMs and the search function on here isn't great. I've cleared my inbox so re-send your last if possible
