Identify brakes please

Hi guys, just need some help identifying the brakes on my 1992 Turbo MR2, do these look like the standard front callipers? I just ordered some EBC Yellow Stuff pads but they don't fit the front apparently even though various parts sites suggest the yellow stuff model DP4936R as the pad for the front brakes of this MR2. This has lead me to believe that maybe there was a brake swap somewhere along the line before I purchased the car, as I can think of no other explanation why the pads would not fit! Cheers

92 models have the larger 275mm front rotors and different calipers, disc pads should be DB1352, not DB1227 as per 1992 model sw20's.
I think you may have ordered the earlier smaller pads.

Ahhh! I think you very well may be right! Thanks mate, must be an error in the database that the parts websites use to suggest the pad model.

FYI, while the post '92 larger brakes front pads are different to the early small brakes pads, the rear pads are the same for both early small and post '92 larger brakes.

    Hi Sam Pryor,
While I hate to even slightly disagree with such a legend as Reddtarga, I am not sure that he is 100% correct about rear pads being exactly the same for both early & later cars.
Some time ago I posted some pics of two types of pads of the same size & shape, but with smaller & larger locating pins. That post is titled "GEN3 SW20 brake pad part number" & was initiated by flypig.
When I changed my rears, it had the pads with the smaller pins, & the pads had moved around a little & appeared to have prematurely worn on one edge.
I believe that the later callipers require the pads with the larger diameter locating pins, which is what I put back in.
    Best Regards,

Peter, what I posted would appear to be incorrect, for ADM cars anyway.
I just checked Toyodiy parts listing and the rear pad kits have different part numbers for pre (04492-17040) and post'92 (04492-17051) ADM SW20's.
What you posted might explain the difference between the two.

I have previously read posts on the US MR2 website: http://www.mr2oc.com/  saying the rear pads are the same on all models. Maybe they are on USDM models?
