Starting issue ‘N/A SW20 91’ thought it was alternator but now I think it’s fuel pump

First the car died as if it was the alternator as the battery and low oil light flickered on then stayed on and the gauges bounced and power cut out and the battery was too dead to restart it so after trying to jump start it it doesn’t want to kick over but the power is there but turning the ignition on you cannot hear the fuel pump so I’ve bridged the wires in the diagnostics plug to power up the pump and it does have a small ring to it but it’s not very loud should I be hearing more and how else can I check it’s relay of whatever else needs to be checked to diagnose the fuel pump issue

If the battery has gone flat the alternator or the battery should be suspect, assuming you haven't left the doors ajar overnight or something else is draining the system or the belt is loose.
That would be the first thing to check out anyway.
Are there any bad oil leaks from the valve cover dripping on to the alternator? That often kills alts.

Before blaming the fuel pump, what about the fuel filter. How long since it was changed?

When checking the fuel delivery system it could be helpful to know that if the car has been standing overnight the fuel pressure in the fuel rail should have all drained away.
Then if you simply turn the ignition on, the fuel pump will not activate until you touch the starter.
If you then turn the ignition key to momentarily engage the starter (without starting the motor) the pump should immediately pressurize the system to about 38 psi.

    Good luck with it.

It died like an alternator would driving home half way on my 45 km trip check engine n low oil intermittently flashing till they became solid lights then gauges bounced and lost power stalling n the battery did die but putting a new battery in wouldn’t turn over it cranks but I can hear the fuel pump engaging so I’ve checked relays and fuses seem all good so I presume the fuel pump has gone too but when I bridge the relay it doesn’t kick the pump on but when I bridge the 2 terminals in the diagnostics plug ( b+ and fp) you can hear it engaging not very loud though but from memory it never was very loud so I’m a little stumped
