Sway bar reinforcement plates - supplier or designs?

Hey all,

Looking at fitting sway bar reinforcement plates. Years ago I got a set from DeltaV but have been advised by Nick that they are no longer made.

Checked twos-r-us and they are also no longer supplied. Anyone have a design template for em so I can make my own?

I need a set also for my 90 SW. PrimeMR2 website wants $114 for shipping, on top of the $50 price.
For that weight I would imagine $15 -20 tops.
    Any alternative suggestions ??

    Yeez that's $164 Wow!! Ouch!!
But of course these are very important to fit to stop chassis cracking.

Sits under the ARB bracket, and links it to the bolt that holds the underneath front brace. Stops the flexing.

Should be easy to make, just get under the car and measure.
Make a template out of cardboard, and then use that as a guide to make it in 5 mm mild steel.

You also need slightly longer ARB bracket holding bolts.

We did a group buy a few months back, however we bought the early model ones from PRIME.
I think it ended up being around $85 AUD landed. quality product, however.

    Thanks Redd,
had already considered this could be the outcome.
For sure, if I make one set, I'll make more for others here on the forum.
Might get my 18yr old to make them for pocket money....

He spotted a slight tearing around one of the ARB nuts welded to the body.
So there is a degree of urgency - stitch in time.

    cheers

You can often only really spot the cracks if you remove the brackets.
So don't wait too long or else:

Get a competent welder to weld some extra metal over the mounting points.  It works just as well as the plates.
