Short shifters - good or bad

Hey guys, just wondering what the general feel of a short shifter is? I used to drive a 300zx and installed a short shifter and ended up being a lot harder to drive as they were pretty short in the first place.

Any thoughts? They are pretty cheap so not sure if it's worth just giving it a go?

Thanks

I haven't tried one so really can't give my experience with one - but I have read that a lot of people don't like them. The rev3+ length seems to make most people happy, haven't heard anything bad about the TRD short shifters either really.

But the super stubby shorter than short shifters? Haven't heard anything but nasty words about them.

Agree with above and to add to that, the cheap after market short shifters sit at a different angle once installed so each gate just doesn't seem to fall at a natural position, if that makes sense.

Rev3 length is perfect. Tried a short shifter, didn't like it. Leads to innacurate & rough shifts, which would hurt the box.
