SW20 - Lower Ball Joint Query

My 1990 SW20 has flogged out front ball joints.
It came with a spare that I believe is from Twos'R'Us which I tried to fit yesterday, but found the tapered section and thread are much bigger then the joint I removed from the hub/lower control arm.

Are there a difference in the ball joints between the SW20 generations (like the brakes/motors)?

Was that front or rear?  Front is smaller of course.
Twos'Rus only sell the one kit for fronts and rears apparently to suit all models.
Their kit fitted my 90 model ADM OK.

Going by the Toyota catalog the part numbers the fronts are the same for all models.
However the part numbers are different for the rears before and after late '93 ????

It is for the front ball joint that I'm replacing.
Just wondering if this spare joint was made for the rear or if it's the wrong part completely (bolts in to the hub fine, just not the control arm).

You are obviously trying to fit a rear ball joint to the front.

Front and rear ones look much the same except that the front has a smaller diameter taper, and thread.

The hub mount for both is the same diameter.
