MR2 OWNERS CLUB OF QUEENSLAND - NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) - SUNDAY 16 AUGUST
 
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the MR2 Owners Club of Australia of Australia, Queensland Chapter Inc., will be held on Sunday the 16th of August, 2015, at Scope's house, between 12 noon and 1.30pm. The AGM is being held during the Technical Directors Day activity to save members the need to attend at another time. If any member is not aware of the actual AGM location then they can PM me for details.
 
This posting is to provide general notification of the AGM, which will be conducted in the form required by the Club Rules. Where practical, an SMS message will be sent to all financial members to also individually notify them of the meeting.
 
The purpose of the AGM is to provide to all members the details of the conduct of the business of the Club over the previous 12 months 1 July 2014 to 30 June 2015, including a report on the outcome of the 2015 Nationals, and to elect the Club Management Committee that will serve until the next AGM.
 
For the latter purpose (the election of the Management Committee) all positions on the Management Committee will be declared vacant at the AGM, nominations called for and seconded for each position, and a vote then called for if more than one person nominates for a position. In accordance with the Club Rules only Club members who are financial on the day may vote, and voting can only be carried out by those members present at the meeting.
 
Food and drinks for lunch will be provided by the Club immediately prior to the AGM commencing. 
 
There is no requirement to nominate attendance at the AGM but it is always in the best interests of the Club if everyone who is a financial member attends the AGM to ensure that broadest range of views about the future direction of the Club is considered.
 
The annual membership fee of $20.00 per car for those who have not paid in the past 6 months is also due at the AGM.
