Bathurst 12 Hour 2016

It’s on again!!
A group from the Vic MR2 Club will be once again be attending this fantastic event next February.
All Club Members are invited to attend, but you will need a tent.

We also invite non club member MR2 owners to join us for this event.
Check out:  http://www.bathurst12hour.com.au/

Because of the convenience of being close to the action, we prefer to setup tents inside the actual circuit because the facilities in the camping area are quite good.
This is also very cost effective, compared to a motel in Bathurst if you don’t mind ‘roughing it’

At this stage we have seven  people confirmed attending for 2016.

The travelling schedule will probably be something like the last event held in Feb this year.
Leaving on Thursday 4th February approx 9:00 am.
Overnight in Cootamundra, then easy 3 hour drive to Bathurst to arrive early Friday  mid-day.
Return Monday morning, overnight in Albury / Wodonga area.
Then get back to Melbourne on the following Tuesday.

Anyone interested can email events@mr2club.com.au for further information and costs etc.

I am planning to attend but will be staying with family in Bathurst.

Will the club be looking at entering our cars in the club display area this year like they did for 2014?

I don't think we will have enough cars up there this year (we need 10) but who knows?

Did I see on your other post that you have a confirmed 7?  I may come down as well, not sure about the whole camping thing tho, I don't have any camping gear.  That would make 9.  I'm sure we could get another couple.

We have a confirmed 7 people attending but I don't think we have 7 MR2's.

When we did the club display in 2014, it involved a lot of time waiting around with your car, so you missed some of the action on the track.  The parade lap of the circuit was fun though.

    Just an update:
This is shaping up to be a great event, and at this point we still have a couple of campsites booked that could be used for any owners that would like to join us.
Also there is still time to get a discount on the weekend race tickets if you don't wait too long.

The cost of a weekend camp site and a car pass is $80.00, as well as a three day race ticket at $63.72

Anyone interested can email events@mr2club.com.au for further information and costs etc.
