4AGZE AW11 Exhaust Questions

I've been thinking about getting a new exhaust for my sc aw11, but had some questions.

When I purchased the car, I was told that all the exhaust was original oem. Upon taking a closer look, the muffler definitely looks aftermarket and the catalytic converter looks too big to be stock. Also, why does the cat have a duel outlet into the muffler? Anyone know if any of this was original?

I was considering just getting a new cat-back, but the whole exhaust looks like it's seen better days. Better off replacing the whole thing?

From your limited pictures, it looks like the rear muffler assembly is a fujitsubo or something similar (the drivers side muffler has an embossing the looks like fujitsubo)

Cat is aftermarket, probably still a near stock cell count. Normally they have a flange near the elbow in front of the muffler, which yours does not. The twin outlet is also not standard.

A higher flowing cat would be beneficial, but tricky and expensive in your case. Unless it is rusted, or the mufflers are colapsing i would leave it alone. Headers are expensive and limited, and rear muffler options are not plentiful, or you could go customer.

There is one companies exhaust that is popular with some guys, but the name escapes me atm.

    For exhaust options:
    - trust make headers (na sized piping)
    - fujitsubo still make a power getter cat back for the gze (will be louder and youll need an exhaust shop to make you a new cat.)
-sv3 power is the one i was thinking of.
    2nd hand:
-hks cat back (usually have rust)
-cusco ps ball headers (na and gza type, a little bit rare)

If you were going custom made by an exhaust shop, i would recommend 2.5 inch, a 200 cel cat, and 2 mufflers or one long muffler. Make sure you get good mufflers, as the supercharged motors can get quite loud if it is too straight through.

What you've got there is a very old Fujitsubo muffler, and is actually also a Fujitsubo cat. I have some pics saved on my pc, but that's exactly what you've got. What header has it got?
