Speedo Not Working in 1990 SW Turbo JDM

Hi All. Found the speedo not working. so did the drill check on the cables and all cable work through to gearbox. I have the instructions to remove the speedo sub assembly. Has anyone had to buy on of these nylon gear wheels that go into the gears box and know the part number and which Toyota dealer in Sydney to get it from?
Thanks David

I got one of the speedo gears from Toyota and have installed... speedo is working but needle jumps around and not smooth. Can the inner cable be lubricated ? Do I need to get a new speedo adaptor assembly also?

I have this weird problem that my speedo reads way low even though my speedo gear is in good condition and the drill test works. Im out of ideas and have recently just bought a gps speedo.... It wont start showing a speed until im over 20kmph makes no sense to me.

I have a similar issue after changing all my speedo equipment (cables / gear etc).  I positioned the needle on 20kms per hour when stopped.  I went for many drives with a gps for checking the speed - so I am doing 60kms at 60, 80kms at 80 etc.
If anyone else has a fix other than repositioning the needle please let us know

there are different speedo gears and different 'calibrations" of the dash instrument. you have to get a matched set. of course, the dash unit could always be faulty

jerkiness is almost always a faulty/kinked cable or in the case of the turbo model, the speedo angle drive internal bearing seizing (common fault).

we have new parts in stock
