 Small update:

Ordered, ready to install new drive shafts & CV's, as they the passenger side gave up the ghost at MTC 2016.

Gotta also fix the exhaust hanger bracket & replace timing belt.  Should be ready for Mallala in June ;-)

How did you go with your oil temps after the fan install?

Ok, didnt notice as much as I would have liked. Temp reduced by 2deg only :-(
I suppose its better than nothing.

Im considering relocation into the side vent area, see if that helps & reduces overall oil temps.

I've ran one in that spot and with a extra scoop in place it's lacking good flow through the engine bay, a proper scoop with the cooler mounted underneath should be all that required and is my next step. Plus a water spray has proven it's worth in the past with me.

Thanks 'webbqv', I'll try your suggestion 1st.  I've thought about water spray a few time too.

I used to run one on my Corolla temps went from 125 down to 100 on the track. The biggest problem I've had on the aw11 is airflow

This is one of the Aw11's I'm planning on bringing over to the Mr2 Track day challenge in Jan 2017.
So it would be its 3rd year in a row now, so thought I might throw a new radiator in it just for good measures.

Original one, now will go in the spares bucket.

Nice new copper one ready to go in.  original unit below, removed.

Installed, bled, ready to hit the track!

While at it, pimped up my trailer with some new mags & rubber in prep for the trip.
How it was...

New 15" mags & tires.

Picked up a few goods to fit, going to modify a front aw11 factory strut brace to fit for the rear, get the grinder out onto the bonnet & fit up some flush mount bonnet latches.
Steering rack is currently being rebuilt ATM also.

Probably not that hard I wouldn't think. But I'll let the pros do it.

Update:

Took this little aw11 over again to MTC 2017 remix, along with my sw20, it's the first time I've actually used it for the event, as friend Rob normally loves it and uses it.

Similar to the sw20, it ran faultless for the event, other than within the first hr of the day (Monday), the front passenger side wheel bearing was clicking like mad. Continued using it for the remainder day, then luckily Aaron managed to bring one over for me so I could switch it out. (What a champion)!

Happy with result I got 3rd in my class and managed a 1.14.9 for my hot lap (PB) for that car.
