Think there was a few threads on this, but yeah, I think would be troublesome to get this registered for road use.

He's been trying to sell it for a while now, and I believe it is or was registered in Vic. - "WOTAMI"

All good! Sorry...realised I may have sounded harsh there but certainly not my intention. I just meant I saw this car mentioned before.

Its certainly a lot of car for the money..but ive never had to go to engineering for a car with a engine transplant before...would only be a small market for someone whos willing to go to that trouble id expect.

    No worries.

I am honestly not surprised if he is struggling to sell it, being modified so. Personally I think it defeats the point of an AW11 (small, light, finely balanced). All that extra weight would likely negate most of the performance gains, except in a straight line.

It also looks so damned ugly with the kit and scissor doors. Taste is subjective though, I am sure some people love it, but the squared-off wedge shape is part of their charm IMO, I wonder why you wouldn't mod an SW20 instead, if you want a rounded body shape.

That being said, I do commend the amount of work that's gone into into it, and the high quality finish.

Also, I don't know about other states, but in QLD it's probably the body mods which would make it hard to register, more than the engine conversion (provided it has the original emissions gear fitted for that motor & brakes/suspension are acceptable) I discussed it with a local workshop when looking at buying a Jaguar XJ6 with 350 Chev engine. Basically its just a case of paying around $300 to get it inspected and compliance plated... UNLESS the conversion was done to a poor standard, then it can blow out to many thousands for alterations.

However most compliance engineers wouldn't touch it because of the extent of the body mods, as I understand it.
