Old but new adub

Hey guys/girls new aw11 owner right here. I bought this adub early december some of you know the car already

Had heard it was for sale a few weeks prior but had my sights set on a 95gts sw20 i did always like the aw shape but the sw was just newer. I gave chris a call and arranged to check it out, 45mins later he had cash in his hand and i had a huge smile on my face :D

Got it to work the following monday and gave it a once over oil/filter/plugs blah blah. The wheels were not my style a little too big and not enough dish so picked up some 15x8 0 D shape steelies, i know they're they might not be everyones cup of tea but im a cheap and simple kinda guy (i think its from my KExx corolla days).

Also found a great deal on some skirts and in white! With christmass and new yrs coming it spent sometime hiding out the back of work and gave me some time to fix the broken ash tray lid and get the glove box sitting right.

Next was a bit of a tune up dont get me wrong this thing is zippy but under load taking off it just didnt seem like it wanted to get going untill the s/c kicked in, did all the usual checks no air in coolant, afm, vacumm leaks so with a bit of help from nate the timing and throttle were adjusted. HOLY MOLY! It sprung to life could maybe tweek the timing a bit more but its a great improvement.

Here is how it sits today

The front could come down a bit more looks like its taking off. There wont be much of a build thread more of a make it mine thread. Let me know what you think thanks

Finaly got around to fitting all the two's r us stuff that came with the car still had genuine rubber in the rear control arms but they came out easy enough with the press (thought it was gonna be a melt out job)
Quick alignment after that feels much nicer now

Any noticeable difference in ride quality and any increase in road noise?

Does feel alot tighter/stiffer not much extra noise the normal coilover knock here and there, still need to fit the front sway bar links looks like a coil over out job the space between the body and getting allan key in is impossible.

Welcome to the Doorstop Club. What adjustments did you do to the timing & throttle?

The timing was retarded alot set it about 8-10 degress from memory and the by pass screw was clamped down wound it out just a bit. Idle on start up now sits around 1000 then drops to 850-900 when warm, only problem now is it chewing the fuel almost half a tank gone from doing 150km and a fuel smell thinking blocked return line or injector o-rings are on the way out

So some things have been going down lately hesitaion at around 1500-2000rpm not under load or under load, fuel is still leaking out the cap if parked on a slight incline after replacing cap and filler neck and some funky bubbles in the coolant filler neck

Fuel comsumpsion is around 10L per 100k ok but could be better i think, oh and the radiator drain bung snapped when i tryed to loosen it to bleed the coolant.
Sometime next week ill look into checking the compression i had planned on rebuilding it engine and box as who ever put the box together used the wrong sealant and its leaking again. Its a sh!t atm but i still love this car!
