Glen how do you manage your music collection? You don't have SD card I recall? Xbox music is a hit and miss for me, great when it works, hair pulling when it doesn't.

Was a good event. Felt bad for Suzuki, I feel he deserved to finally win. Reminds me of Rosberg being barely outqualified by Hamilton.

I've Had mixed feelings lately whether I made the right choice since we miss out/lack development compared to droid phones on so many government service/banking related apps. Lagdroids I've seen can't hold a candle in terms of speed to my 820 tho

Yeah man my 930 is sooooo faaaast compared to my last Droid. Everything is super snappy and I haven't seen it lag ever. It delivers what I ask of it. I wish my MR2 was as good....

I only have a subset of my collection on my phone and do use Xbox music and haven't had a problem with it.

Is that via the web app or Tapatalk? Both work fine for me.
Do you have Windows phone 8 or 8.1? I'm running 8.1

Just go to the web app version of what you need and pin it to the start menu. It will look like a regular mobile app. That's what I do for Westpac, Bureau of Meteorology etc. Works well. NAB, CBA, ING, St George have apps for Winphone. Only the crappy banks don't (Westpac....) ;-)

HTC One is a good phone, no qualms about that. Reminds me of my old Samsung Wave, one of the first full cased (or almost) aluminium phones. Never lagged, never scratched (CGG) and built like a tank. Even battery life was astonishing thanks to lightweight OS. It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows however, unlike the WP8, Bada OS was abandoned by Samsung so users around the world were left lost and hopeless. And then it happened.
Unfortunately I dropped it in the toilet...now before you say anything I flushed seconds before it dropped in and summoned the courage to pull her out.

Then I got an Xperia Arc S recommended from a friend. Perhaps that left an unfair judgement on Androids. I'm a mid-range phone guy, don't play no games or need the latest tech so can't justify a $350+ phone (Wave, Arc S and 820 all around $260 bought outright). I do miss the Google Maps route option choice.

This is via Tapatalk. In fact that post was from Tapatalk, notice the large gap between the last sentence. My phone's on 8.1, we finally get a pull down screen haha.

Yeh I'm with Commbank, app is okay for checking balance and making internal transfers. Unnecessarily harder when transferring $$ to another person tho using the app, web is easier. Android apps probably a piece of cake to use. Pinning is fantastic.

Anyways what were we talking about again? Ahh yes, poor Mr Suzuki...I'm quite eager to see how the RTR Exige and the 86's performed in Clubsprint.

I have a 920 running W8 (company phone). Windows phones are awesome for work, especially due to their outlook capabilities & functionality. There are however, 3 overbearing issues with running a Windows based phone:

1) Browser - no chrome, they only recently allowed you to exit explorer, return & browse backwards (until then they recommended a China UC Browser)
2) Applications - Windows app store is not even close to that of Itunes or Google Play. Fundamental reason for their low market share & limited growth in the smartphone & tablet markets. There's no proper youtube app, the FB app is annoying to be polite. Fair enough, there's a lot of junky apps on Itunes & Google, but many of my favourites aren't on Windows, nor are there viable alternatives. Eg, golf GPS, traffic, soundhound, defjay. No smart tv remote function, or ability to mirror the display.
3) Interface/tiles - Personal preference, but I don't like the tiles.

Why do you need Chrome? IE is perfectly good

Shazam is better than Soundhound anyway and is available on WinPhone. Lumia Beamer does display mirroring. I use the YouTube web app. It works fine. It is true that there is a lot of junk in the store though if you are persistent, you will find what you need.

Wow I've never heard anyone say that before. Most people I talk to say the start screen is the best feature of WinPhone and I agree. Try putting a background image of your choosing behind the tiles. It looks much nicer.

After W8.1, my IE browser became blazing fast. For youtube there's an app called Metrotube which is excellent. $3 but that's a small price to pay. FB is okay, it's improved quite a bit. Messenger is better after they updated to enable mute. Everything else I agree lol

Apparently Microsoft developed a decent YouTube app themselves which used the YouTube APIs and then Google in their aggressive way, blocked it on their end from working. That's not cool.
There is still a Microsoft written YouTube app in the store, though it is just a "wrapper" for the YouTube web app.

I like the google ecosystem. Central for my favourites, calender, contacts, gmail & google drive. Also future proofed as I can run it on Windows PC, Android, Chromebook/box, IOS. Chrome is also more frequently updated.

Didn't know of Shazam, thanks. But it's still do the same thing (me too). Lumia Beamer requires web access. I can still go old school wired with my Note 3 via adapter. Eg, I connect my Note3 to my in car screen (Legnum & MR2) for navigation. Many ways to skim a cat, but this way I pay less & get to utilise what I already have.

3) Interface/tiles - Personal preference, but I don't like the tiles.

I work in IT too & hear it a lot. Reality is, Windows 8 didn't change the world like they hoped it would for many different reasons. The fact they named its replacement Win10 (skipping 9) was to detach itself from the Win8 market perspection. With respect to W8, if you're open minded, it's okay (even great) & has some real benefits over the others. I like to be impartial, I use IOS (Ipad Air), Windows 7/8 (HP AIO DT, HP Notebook, W8 tablets), Android (Note3) & even WebOS (with cmod). Spend time ongoing with them all. Personal preference, but in my honest opinion, for a smartphone form factor, I prefer Android to W8 (for personal use).

I have a background image on my 920 & Note 3. IMO, looks better on my Note3, not just because of the larger screen (just appears neater).

Agree re IE speed on 8.1 update. Requiring a 3rd party app for youtube, is such a shame (to MS). FB on W8 is a substandard experience compared to its peers.

All's fair in love & war. Microsoft have a VERY aggressive way too :) I know there's options, all 3rd party of course. 3rd party apps over time are not as reliable or up to date.

LOL
This is the ad that convinced me to switch to a Nokia.
I still laugh when I watch it.

Here are some photos I have taken with my Lumia 930 (only 20MP!). I don't need a separate camera anymore.
