JST/Omori boost gauge instalation

Hi everyone

I am installing a JST boost gauge into the MR2 and was wondering, of those who have also fitted the same gauge to their cars in the standard location did you have to cut the plastic frame surround to get the JST gauge to fit or did you dismantle the gauge so that you can fit it behind the black plastic frame?
if anyone has any pictures from their fitting process that would be much appreciated.

On MR2OC there is a stack of info on the various ways of doing the install. Here is one of them.
