There was no starvation, I run a morrosso sump and I even slightly bent the windage tray as I read about them getting stuck and starving the motor.

It was a Chinese 5SFE pump :(

I was sure I replied to this previously.  I have a brand new 1.1mm Apexi gasket mate.  The mains wont fit without modifications to the pan which is easily done on a milling machine.  Gerotors exploding definitely isn't unheard of.  2ZZ's have alot of issues with this.  The gerotor is a sintered metal component and as such quite brittle.  In normal operation this is OK.  In instance of cavitation or over rev this can rattle around in the housing and shatter.

I have a 2ZZ here with a shattered gerotor.  It looked very ill maintained and its death was an over rev.

I maintained my engine very well, I always warmed it up and serviced it every 5000kms as it took me 2 years to build the dam thing, I think mine just died because it was a chinese pump, I actually thought it was a genuine but didn't read the listing peroperly. Lesson learned.

What sort of packaging did the Chinese oil pump come in? Was it in Toyota packaging?
The reason I ask is that I have a new 'genuine' oil pump I am about to fit to a new motor that I got from Lithia Toyota in genuine packaging.
I disassembled it for inspection and noticed that the triangular match mark is on the opposite side of the inner gerator/shaft compared to the service manual and other oil pumps I have seen. But the pump had been assembled with the mark on the outer gerator ring matching, so I assumed it would be ok.

I can't remember the packaging but I know 100% that it did not have AISIN stamped on the front of it.

I did pull mine apart when assembling the motor but only to pack it with grease to prevent dry starting.

Does anyone know if a Haltech can run the GEN 4 factory cops and cam angle sensor? I did some google and could not find an answer.

Yeah, a haltech can handle denso cop setups. You run each ignition output to the igt pin on the coil, and you don't use the igf wire.

Great! Is that any particular model of Haltech? Would the Sprint 500 be capable of running as a full stand alone?

I wouldnt recommened the sprint 500. In theory it could do it, but they can only run high resistance injectors, doesnt have enough outputs, and is a bit coarse on load sites for the maps. You would be far better off with a ps1000.
