Hey Rick, I use NGK BKR6E-11 (copper) and replace every 6 months ~ $24 a set of 4 on eBay

The OEM part number for Red Top spark plugs is toyota 90919-01179, so any equivalent to those will do the job Rick. For NGK, it would actually be NGK BKR6EP11, which are platinum tipped.

Thanks mister2, I thought they should be platinum, which is why i questioned Tree's use of copper.

With copper you just need to change them more often.

The only benefit of platinum is the service life, and with tree tracking his car and generally driving it hard, there is no benefit in running platinum plugs.

I might need correcting but last time i looked the Platinums are no longer available. Might find them on Ebay. I use Iridium now but i have a non standard beams also. BTW i have new Beams Platinums from Japan i bought 3 years ago. 15 bucks plus delivery
