Need stock Aw11 Parts

Hi Forum

I am need some assistance tracking down some parts, I hope you guys can help.

I currently have a 1989 Aw11 SC that is in the middle of a restoration by myself. I am wanting to restore it to its original factory glory. Im about 3 weeks in and have hit a wall tracking down some parts.

Im currently after the factory SC muffler, Blue dash board and the front L and R suspension ( Springs and shocks). If any one knows how/ where I could source these things I would be eternally grateful.

I know many of you would be thinking why not upgrade, get something more modern and so on. I am after experiencing the car the way the original Japanese owner did in 1989. Once I have the car for a bit longer then Ill considering modernising and upgrading the components.

I feel cars are best when they are close to stock. There is always room for improvements but they should be tasteful and not at the expense of the cars natural traits and characteristics. Once I get to know the car then I can decide on what direction I want to go.

Very soon I will be posting all my trails ad tribulations up to this point, so stay tuned.

I have a set of four stock springs from my JDM 1989 Supercharged car which I was keeping in case I ever wanted to go back to stock height. I might be tempted to part with them.
How much would you want to pay for them? I'm in Sydney as well, North West.

stock ride height definitely isn't bad, but the springs aren't the best.

I'm going through a suspension refresh so I'll also have a set of springs surplus, as well as my factory shocks, but I'll be moving to aftermarket strut inserts so I don't know how much I have will be very useful to you.
My advice though is that the handling is pretty bad as stock on used equipment, surely from new is alright but good luck finding quality as-new factory components. My adub has all sorts of body roll and braking is manageable but hardly exciting given the cars age.
Once you have gotten over the purist idea, you'll find these cars are so much more capable with only minor modifications handling wise, they'll embarrass a lot of newer sport cars.

RcI again Maj, thank you for all your responses to my posts it's much aprecuated.

I completely agree in terms of performance and reliability upgrading the suspension is the way to go. In the future that's what I'll be heading towards. At the moment though I really want to restore this thing to be as close to factory as possible.

Mrskylighter I'm not to sure how much these things go for but I am very interested. If you give me a price I'll look into and leť you know what I think.

If anyone knows where I can find the muffler and that would also be much appreciated.
