Need some advise on my turbo upgrade

Hi guys,

My CT26 turbo has fried itself and I am going to get it rebuilt but at the same time upgrading it. (Bigger wheels, 360 degree thrust bearing, bored housing)
My question is, what can I do to the original actuator to actually warrant the turbo upgrade? There isn't much point in an upgrade if the original actuator only allows 8-10 psi through.
What are my options?

I apologise if this has been asked or covered before.

Lol yeah do need a boost controller of some sort to increase boost.
As for your rebuild/turbo upgrade. I take it your giving it to a shop to have done. If it were me in your situation I'd work out what the MAX boost I want to run is first (now and in the future) then I'd have them rebuild the turbo with sizing appropriate to only be able to spin up to that boost but spool as quick as possible. Just make sure it doesn't run out of puff in the top end of the rev range. Just my opinion if I were in your situation.
