Engine rebuild and maybe start to clean up the engine bay for painting. Sandblasting a few parts and painting those too. It all depends on how good the weather is, the nicer the less work done as I'll be down the beach

new to Mr2 forum mine is getting fixed panel shop all because some person in a 4 wheel drive ute could not be bothered to use his mirrors and do a shoulder check while reversing , waited a number of years to find the wight car and it gets bashed in under 4 months black 1991 mr2 stock standard and trying to keep it that way would like another one to play with though

Gary C ………..a 4 wheel drive ute could not be bothered to use his mirrors and do a shoulder check while reversing ………. There has been many a time where I have almost been run off the road because someone in a 4x4 was too lazy to do a shoulder check or even be aware of the other cars around them! Those 4x4 are dangerous and defensive driving tactics must be used at all times when in an MR2 - we are just too low for their revision mirrors. Cheers, M

Although not work on the MR2, I'll be cleaning & painting the garage floor. Also looking to insulate the garage door to give it a nicer home and make the garage a more workable environment.

I finished changing around a mount on my race seat, installed new harnesses and finished making the hardlines for the cabin for the fire extinguisher - what a pain that was! I need to make up a alloy plate for the passenger side footwell to hold some electronics, few other odd bits to do.

Nice! Just an FYI, if you're going to be running E85, your power output will be limited with 1000cc injectors. With 98 fuel 1000cc injectors are pretty big, but with E85 1000cc injectors are quite small. I assume you will be upgrading the fuel pump too. Anyway, good luck :-)

Thanks for the input rob, I'm kind of expecting the stock bottom end to be the biggest limiting factor, we will see how we go. Btw how did your car go at the drags the other day?

Not great. It was really busy being the last drag night for the year at WSID, so I only got to do 2 runs. The first run was a throwaway and totally crap, as I expected because I hadn't launched with my new clutch before. The second run was going well (destined for high 11s or low 12s) until my f**king MAP sensor hose blew off with about 100m still remaining, so I rolled the rest of the way lol. I will go back next year for another attempt at getting in the 11s.

I am chasing down a persistent front end rattle in the Adub and I am going to pull the steering rack out and mess around with the pre load. It can't be anything else, I have rebuilt or replaced everything forward of the windscreen. I am keen to try out my new 3/8 drive cordless rattle gun I got for Christmas too. Meant to start earlier but hot weather, cold beer and cricket have got in the way. Pete
