2013 Christmas Party and AGM - Sunday 8 December 2013

2013 CHRISTMAS PARTY AND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - 8 DECEMBER 2013
 
Is it that time of year already?? Where did 2013 go?
 
The Club will host its 2013 Christmas Party and Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday 8 December 2013 as notified in the Run Calendar posted up in February this year (check the stickies at the top of the page).
 
To do something new the Run will be shorter than previous years, and after heading west for so long this time will see the Club meeting in a cooler spot closer to the ocean (no, its not in Falcon's backyard or on Dennis's yacht). 
 
Run Details and the Roll Call will be published here on the Forum next weekend so make sure you check back.
 
To get everyone thinking it will be a BYO food, drinks, and chairs, although promises have been made about chocolate mud cakes, desert, and coffee and tea. During the Party prizes will be awarded for various member contributions during the past year, including the famous MR2 Club Silver Steering Wheel, and a number of other festive activities held.
 
The Party will also provide the opportunity for us to hold our Annual General Meeting, which we are required to do as an Incorporated Association. In keeping with past traditions the meeting is intended to be a very short one, unless of course under the democratic process a longer meting is required, so if you have any items you would like discussed under General Business then please let Groper know via PM for inclusion in the Agenda.
 
The AGM is also the time when we elect our Office Holders for the next twelve months, which covers the positions of  President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Run Manager, plus we discuss the Run Calendar and other Club matters. This year the Committee has decided to have a new position created, that of Assistant Run Manager, so nominations will be called for this.
 
Further AGM information will also be confirmed next weekend, so another good reason to check back here.
