URGENT ADVICE - to all posters

Internet Security is a heavy topic.  Unless you are totally bored with a peaceful life, we should all be doing everything we can to avoid spam emails and phone calls.

I've noticed recently forum members replying to posts on open threads, and supplying their mobile numbers in an open form.  May I humbly suggest that if you need to post your phone number, try and be a little subtle about it.  Use something like Oh-For-Ate-6 as a beginning combo, and try to break it up.

Similarly with email addresses - try and confuse the scummy spambots who trawl the internet.

Cheers!

Don't just worry about phone numbers and spam bots, I have done my bit to delete postings of actual addresses and send pm's trying to explain why not to.

Unfortunately the interweb is full of lurkers (not always a bad thing -  most lurkers will post up) but some sniff around and gazump members when a good priced item is offered.

Even more sinister than snivelling guzumpers, posting your address and a phone number - some grub wants your stuff, goes to your house, rings you but you're at work and won't be home for hours...
