Twos R Us UPDATE!!

I just bought some parts from Twos R Us and had trouble paying for the items.  It turned out that my bank (which bank?) had put a stop on the website because of concerns about credit card fraud.  Has anyone else had the same issue or has anyone suffered credit card fraud as a result of using the website?

My bank temporarily gave me access to allow me to pay for the items.

I've placed two orders with them in the last couple of years, and I'm about to make another.  So far so good.

No problems for me, I've used them a couple of times, but I buy plenty of stuff from overseas sellers, ebay, etc. Usually the banks will look for unusual spending patterns - do you normally make transactions with overseas vendors?

I've completed many transactions with Twosrus without issue. My bank loves it when I spend money I don't have :)

I had the same issue buying from them with cba visa about a month ago but it was easily sorted as the bank rang to confirm it was me.

I have purchased from Twos R Us and other overseas sellers before.  It is a recent issue and is apparently related to the website itself.  The CBA has concerns that the website has been used for fraudulent purposes.  I have emailed Twos R Us and was keen to know if others were having the same problem so that Twos R Us could be made aware of any issues.

    UPDATE!!

My credit card was today hit with two fraudulent claims totalling $2800 and has now been cancelled.  It has not had any other  transactions from those normally applied to it and has occurred only two weeks after paying for parts from Twos R Us.  The parts were delivered as expected by Twos R Us great customer service.  To be clear there is no suggestion of improper behaviour on the part of Twos R Us.  However it is possible that someone has been able to hack the site and gain access to credit card details.

I will contact David Hawkins and let forum members know the outcome.

    Hello all,
I work for a large bank and I can confirm that they all check for unusual spending patterns on credit and debit card Visa, MasterCard and American Express transactions. It is not unusual for some transactions to be declined.
I can't see any obvious link between your card being used without your consent and the transaction you made with TwosRus, so until there is proof from CBA, you shouldn't even mention a link between the two.
