Wakefield Park will be doing track maintenance from Jan 2nd till Jan 6th. Most work will be adjustements to the kerbing. In addition to the kerbing, I have requested improved transitions to the hill climb sections of which Wakefield Park has agreed to do.
So on the 4th of Jan, I will be spending the day at Wakefield Park helping out with the transitions. Anyone who wants/or able to come along for the day, let me know through the thread. Will be a opportunity to actually work on the track which is a unusual experience but worthwhile. Good chance to have a closer look at the hillclimb track too.
Glenn, put the 2.4 in it!

Sooo what time are ppl leaving from Victoria? I'm going camping on the 10th to 13th but I can be gone by 12th at night. Been a long time since I've been to Sydney by car, do ppl take breaks or just push the pedal to the metal?

Sounds good Steve should be an even better track then, won't be able to make the transitions as its to far to travel. Hopefully closer guys can lend a hand :)

What's the deal with cameras mounted on cars? Do they have to be mounted internally or can we mount on the outside as well?

Make sure you document the drive to Wakefield. Trailer racing, its the new fad. You can mount the camera where ever you like, even on my car.  I will running it tight for the track day too as my girl and I are going to the Elvis festival in Parkes from the 9th till the 13th. We return home on the Sunday morning, unpack, clip on the trailer, then driving to wakefield that night. Hope to be there by 6pm. If there is a sighting of Elvis in Goulburn, dont be alarmed. You will need to be in the grounds of Wakefield Park by 6pm so you can unload your car and set up as they lock the gates at 6-6:20pm. You can still make it to the cabins, but the garages are a little more difficult. Once your in your garage, you can work on the cars in prep for the next two days driving. Best to keep the noise to a low level. Once you have finished set up and work on the car, you can walk accross or around the track back to your cabin. I would not recommend walking through the field to the cabins due to the snakes that live at the track. chances are, they will be out hunting most nights. If you like eating rabbit, there is a plague of them at the track. Bring your bow and its your turn to cook if you get lucky!
