soon as I get them on - remember the 275/40R 19 is to fit beneath custom arches, which have been tubbed out to suit. I would hope they bloody fit!

Quite an agressive tyre size indeed. Hopefully it will fit, but by looking at the amount of thought and planning gone into this build im sure thwy will. Still sound verrry wide considering these (on the rear are only a 235) but the wheels being -23 http://www.rimtuck.com/thumbnails.php?vehiclemake=Toyota&vehiclemodel=MR2&sort=1 Edit: Just remembered your car is a fair bit wider then a standard widebody. Cant wait for test fit of the rims!

Fit was sweet with the 19s on the back, albeit with the car in the air on a jack - haven't seen the car on the ground yet, but the wheel arch was well filled, the rim span and didn't rub, and the flushness was spot on. The only issue was the WRONG tyres! But I ordered some 275/30/19R Yokohama E-Series ES50 tyres which arrived this morning: Images straight from eBay like, but the overall diameter is two inches smaller than the 275/40/19 that the Volks rims came with, so the size difference will be FAR less noticeable - especially with the 235/40/18's I am going to buy for the fronts to bring up their diameter to (more closely) match the rolling diameters at the rears. Two points; 1. So, after the too-small-tyres realisation, I'm looking for some help with selection of the new 235/40/18 tyres for the fronts; Please post here http://www.mr2australia.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=22616 if you can or would like to help :) 2. I have to point out that Dylan arranged the total wheel and tyres package, and despite some issues with delivery time, we got through; His customer service was excellent throughout, and when the wrong tyres eventually arrived, he offered a refund and sent me a link to some alternative tyres (which I bought, pics above); He also entrusted the Yokohama S-Drive 275/40/19's for me to look after until he can find another buyer. Can't fault Gorilla for this - in fact this was beyond my expectations. They've looked after me despite tardiness from the US-based guys (which caused a small amount(!) of frustration and was nothing to do with Gorilla Industries - top marks and a MASSIVE recommendation go to Dylan - Thanks a lot mate :) Keep hold of those TRD strut braces for me!

Will post up some build progress pics first week of Jan once the body shop re-opens, and I can get the new lower profile Yoko's (275-30-19) on there. Hopefully this should be a positive visit as the car will have side skirts and front bar almost finished, and a few pics with the rims on is well overdue ;)
Happy New Year FOlks!
Cheers Daz

Another trip to the body shop, another update with pics - got the rims on the car, defo worth the wait like! Flushness is absolutely plum perfect, and the "right" sized tyres on the 19's (275/30/19) look spot on against the 215/40/18's on the front: will upload some more body work pics in a bit - starting to take full shape now, though it's hard to get good pics in the cramped body shop.. Here's a few pics of the bodywork in development.. It's tough werk getting good pictures like, the shop is cramped - this is as far back as i could get: Dust particles everywhere! Trying to get a shot of the side profile Front bumper not yet properly attached: View down the driver's side - wheel flushness is just about visible, though no rear bar yet Front wheel arch - car needs to be lowered now it has new shoes with rear bar just hanging in position better view wheels looking snug in the arch - will look better when the car is lowered and the arches are cut higher to suit 'Nother one.. Rear quarter shape and width View down the length of the car gap above rim/tyre to spring seat - running 18 x 8's and 215/40 tryes

More good news today - Wilwood lightweight racing rotors arrived from Wolfkatz - pics below. Really starting to get some momentum now - projected completion date is mid-Feb for the body work and mid-March as she comes out of the paint shop, time to firm up on the colour.. Does anyone have a resource to search for paint codes online?? Anyway - here are the rotors: Love it. [:p]
