This is not totally MR2 related but I thought a few people might be interested in attending a local Cars & Coffee event, its held at Nobbys beach car park on the second Sunday of every month from 7:30am till 9:30am.
 
Its a informal social gathering of automotive enthusiasts to share their automotive passions over a cup of coffee from the local Swell Espresso Bar.

Love too but my 3rd gear synchro is gone and I am shifting 2nd to 4th wich is ok as there is plenty of revs but not much fun without 3rd. 2nd hand gearbox for $150 untested is going in this week and if it don't work it's a 2k rebuild using corolla parts as I think there a shared item. Either way it's at least a week off the road but will be ready for next meet.

Always accepting of an MR2, no matter which one.  Look forward to meeting you at the next meet.  We haven't had a Spyder at any of the Newy meets yet.

Ok got my photo onto my page but can't get it come up as my profile pic so maybe after 10 posts and it will. Please bear with me people this is not only my 1st time in any sort of club it is also my 1st time on a forum so please forgive me if I seem a bit dopey lol
The spyder Is nice and not just a show pony with its full body kit and 19inch rims (but needs coil overs desperately ) it has sequential 5spd hydrolic box and an engine that just wants to rev 4eva.
It's biggest downfall is the engine is in the rear (very unforgiving if u loose it) the spare is in the front so there is no boot just 2 seats and some baggage space behind the seats but like any car if u love it u learn to live with it
Hope this gives other members and run down on what it is good and bad. I would equally like to learn about yr cars as I also don't know much about them

Don't worry about the dopey bit, that just means you'll fit in with the rest of us.
 
Biggest downfall iss that the engine is in the rear?! That's the whole point of these cars, the mid engined balance! Don't say that at a meet, you'll get things thrown at you and handed a honda brochure!!

Lol I just ment when the tail end goes usually in the wet it is very hard to catch without doing a 360 unless u r a really good driver and I am only and average one which has caught me out a couple of times. That said I am only runing lowered king springs and I think coil overs will improve this greatly if set right. There is a set from America for the spyder for $850 new delivered sorry can't remember the brand
