It's the java script running on those damn banner ads causing most of the errors.

I have a gripe - my buildpost http://www.mr2australia.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19578&whichpage=15 had 15 pages;  the new migrated version of the topic http://www.mr2australia.com/mr2play/tm.aspx?m=20720 shows only a possible 11 pages;  Is there a way to transfer these additional 4 pages to the 'new' topic?

Also, the topic only appears if i select show posts for the last 180 days - clearly there was multiple activities on the topic after the 180 day cut off, but it won't in the topics list if i click on "show posts in the last 90 days"...  Any help appreciated in updating the thread would be cool, as the car is due to come out of the paint shop when I return from the UK towards the end of May...

Thanks!

Cheers
Daz

And a hundred yards deep too lol.  Seems like a lot of wasted space.
Is that because of the settings wer'e using?
I've just noticed that the post by purple5ive on page 1 of this thread does wrap around.
How was that done?

The reduced number of pages in each thread is due to each page having more posts on it, so the total number of pages is less. The posts should all be there still.

There is an extensive build thread for my car here: http://www.mr2australia.com/mr2play/tm.aspx?m=18316

Strange...
is anyone else having problems accessing some pages. Is scripting running on the page headers? not sure where it's coming from. Tried dumping active x and anti-malware settings, but still persists..

Nope - haven't seen that one. I'll check the logs

dennis the menace

It's probably just me, but what has happened to the old "Show threads with new posts since last visit" option?

There is an option for that - "Posts since last visit".
It's under the Forum menu

There is something screwed up on page 2 of this thread. Pages 1 and 3 are now OK. Not sure what is causing it. I haven't seen this happen anywhere else in the forum.
Purple5ive had something weird in his sig. I have fixed it now

EDIT - Now page 3 is stuffed again. I think it's because I quoted a message from page 2. Arrrgghhh

A couple of things..

I used the quick reply box and got this

Server Error in '/MR2play' Application.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Source Error:

The source code that generated this unhandled exception can only be shown when compiled in debug mode. To enable this, please follow one of the below steps, then request the URL:

1. Add a "Debug=true" directive at the top of the file that generated the error. Example:

<%@ Page Language="C#" Debug="true" %>

or:

2) Add the following section to the configuration file of your application:

<configuration>
<system.web>
<compilation debug="true"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Note that this second technique will cause all files within a given application to be compiled in debug mode. The first technique will cause only that particular file to be compiled in debug mode.

Important: Running applications in debug mode does incur a memory/performance overhead. You should make sure that an application has debugging disabled before deploying into production scenario.
Stack Trace:

when I was trying to ask this:

I've subscribed to a couple of the forums, but I don't get the instant notification I'm used to. Is it me?...

So I still no closer to knowing why this is happening,

Nick

Hi Nick,
The error is a known issue. It happens the first time migrated users post in the new forum. It won't happen again.
Your subscriptions may not have been working because you hadn't posted anything yet. Are they working now?
I'll have a look at your account settings anyway to see if something is amiss

That looks like a client error. The only errors in the log on my end are for when you posted in the new forum for the first time. These is the known issue with the first post of migrated users.
Are you still getting the error?
Have you tried another PC? Does it still happen there?

Hi Daz,
All of the posts are here. There are less pages in your thread because the new forums displays more posts on each page compared to the old forum.
The last post in that thread was the 4th of January. That's more than 90 days ago, so it is correct that it will not display if you select the 90 days filter.

This thread is getting messy now so I'm going to lock it. Can each of you please start a new thread in the messages for webmaster section for your particular issue so I can better keep track? Thanks
