Friday nights?

Hi All,
 
I will be driving down from Sydney friday afternoon (24th June) and staying the night in Canberra. Just wondering, in Canberra is there a friday night hang out area, where people and their cars hang out at? I'm not talking about fully "sik" hoons who have something to prove, just people enjoying their cars, parking and having a bit of a talk and perhaps a feed. Would love to check out it out if something like this exists.

    Any one else in Canberra free this friday for a meal and a chat?
     
    You can try Grevillea Park by the lake on a Friday evening is mostly a Skylines Australia hangout, with no shenanigans. I've been welcomed in the past, in my MR2. I've chucked a post up on SAU, to see if anyone else is heading down to Grevilea Park, see if we get a bit of interest. and I'll meet you there or get some food somewhere.

    Cool, that would be great, I'll be down next friday though, not this week. Still a bit of time left, I wouldn't mind a bit of a feed and explore a bit. I only tended to head down to canberra for the nats at the beginning of the year mostly. 
     
    When it gets closer I'll shoot ya a PM to exchange some details.

    Well I stirred up the skyline drivers so a few should make it out, but basically they're all pussies who don't like the cold, or the wet, or the dark.
     
    I'll meet you somewhere for dinner if you like, probably even russle up some car minded mates, then later you could just hang with the skyliners.
     
    Google Maps Grevillea Park should give you the idea of ahere they hang out.
