Downpipe recommendations

I'm tossing up between a few options

1) Buying a de-cat downpipe (Berk, KO, ATS racing) and having a B-pipe custom made/installed by a local shop, with an inbuilt cat.

2) Buying a catted downpipe (ebay XS Power is the only one I can find) and fitting myself

3) Full custom $$$

Given my struggle with seized and broken bolts so far, it's likely to end up at a shop either way. I've read mixed reviews of the XS Power so I'm on the fence with this. Please pass on any recommendations or other options I haven't thought of. I'm not in a rush to purchase but like to plan ahead.
thanks

I've been running an XS Power catted dump pipe for over 5 years now (about 80,000km). I can't exactly quantify how restrictive it is, but it has been doing the job.

I looked at the cat a few weeks ago and it hasn't shown any signs of deterioration. I'd say for $140 over the course of 5 years it's been well worth it!
I've had a different aftermarket downpipe crack before and that was because I didn't have the lower brace on it. Make sure it's there!!
On that note, make sure you have a lower turbo brace as well. It has something like an M18 bolt on it. I didn't have it for the first two years of ownership and had no end of trouble with loose manifold bolts.

^ good to know. I think they're closer to $300 now inc shipping but still much cheaper than other options. Primedriven sell something similar to XS Power (possibly the same unit?) for a a bit more.
Is the lower turbo brace a factory piece or something you've added?

Annual inspections in NSW. I don't like dealing with defect issues.

I wouldn't recommend the Berk at all, they may of had a good rep once but the downpipe I had was terrible and definitely something that was made in china.  Warped flanges poor welds, the Berk rep tried to convince me the warped flange helped increase the torque on the flange bolts ><

If going the custom route be prepared to tell them exactly what you want, as in x amount of clearance around oil filter etc or you'll end up disappointed.
