SMT to MT conversion

Hi I just bought an mr2 spyder 2002 model. Its standard no mods exept for a newish head unit.I want to convert it to manual and get a hard top for it and have been reading up a bit but still have not worked out how to get it done.I'm not in anyway a mechanic so most of the time I get lost and dishea..

Guys, I know its been done to the death, however I want to find a 3SGTE for my NA MR@ and do the conversion (yes 3sgte only) does anyone know where I can find an importer of some sort to get a rear cut! they seem to have disappeared. following that anyone recommend a mechanic that can do the install..

Steering column dust cover

Hi guys I got into my MR today after work and I found this sitting on the floor. After a quick inspection I found that it came off the steering column, right were it goes through the floor pan.After going on Toyodiy I believe I have found the part, SEAL, MAIN SHAFT LOWER DUST part number: 45292-1701..

Polyurethane motor mounts and exhaust options

Hello all, Has anyone on the forums used poly motor mounts in their SW20? I have a 97 Bathurst, and I'm looking to change the motor mounts, once and for all. Which ones would you recommend? Powerflex make a few but I'm not sure what diameters are needed as there are multiple options on their website..

Mr2 turbo shooting flames problem!

Hi guys see video below of what it was doing ALOT Finaly got around to driving the mr2 out for atleast 45min.. TVIS Remove or not to remove?

For a street car that a weekend track car. Not planning to go over 450hp on the engine build. Can control TVIS with a Links ecu. It may not matter if I bring up higher boost at low rpm to stop the torque dip between 3800 - 4200rpm if I do not use the TVIS. Using it will help low rpm torque 1000 - 38..

3sgte downpipe bolts

I know your meant to use the double sided thread studs with a nut on one end to bolt the dp to the turbo. The guy before me has used a straight up bolt for all of them(see attached) is there any negatives to repeating this again? See pic attached of what he used and below is what should be used Im ..
