E153 Gearbox Identification

Hi, Recently got my hands on this MR2 gearbox, advertised as from an MR2 GTS with TRD LSD. Though from my research it appears to look more like a S54 but not entirely sure. Is there a way to tell? I believe it should have the hole on the right side for the starter motor. Thanks for any help!..

Shift Sleeve Slides Pass Gear Locking Teeth

I'm upgrading 3rd and 4th gears; synchros; and shift sleeve of a 1999 C60 gearbox to 2003 parts. I've noticed that the upgraded sleeve slides pass the locking teeth and over 3rd gear. Where as the sleeve from the 1999 box stop sliding after the locking teeth. Is this normal?..
