Blue slip needed for engine swap?

Hey peeps, I asked this a while ago about needing a blue slip for NA engine swap. Some of you say no its not needed. Anyway i got the engine swapped both were NA anyway . Today i went to RTA to give the new engine number to be update on my current car. they said no that cant be done ..i need a bl..

why are SW20's refered to in this way?

I see alot of posts on this forum like this and am curious why they do it. I see threads Labeled, Gen 1 problem, Gen 3 problem. Gen 3 body parts for sale. Gen 2 this and that. and then you get into the thread start reading through it and its about an SW20. Now I honestly don't know the ins and outs ..
