MR2 Mk2 rev tacho not working

Hi guys I recently bought a 90 model GT as a bit of a project. I noticed the rev tacho does move, does anyone have any ideas as to what to look at first ?..

Brisbane JDM (AW11) parts supliers?

Does anyone know a Brisbane parts supplier that is likely to have JDM AW11 parts in stock? I realise its a long shot, but I want to do a major service (including brakes), before a long drive on the weekend. Toyota have to ship parts from Melbourne, they won't get here until next week. Gen1 to Gen3

Hey guys! Need some input or related experience with the following please: What will have to be done if one wishes to change engines from gen1 to gen3 (3SGTE) WITHOUT changing the entire wiring harness? Is this possible? If not, what are the differences between harnesses? P.S. Aftermarket management..

Wanted to buy. 3sgte timing cover and gaskets

I'm looking for the lower timing cover and the gaskets for the upper and lower timing covers. I'm located in north Brisbane and am willing to pay for postage. I have just assembled my engine and found that the gaskets have been misplaced and the lower timing cover is broken. Any help greatly..

Beams Instrument cluster.

Hi guys, I've just realised that the instrument cluster coming with my Beams half cut has a 180km/h speedo.Does anyone know if there was a 260km/h cluster available for the MR2 Beams?If so i might have to hunt around on Ebay... ThanksRick..

MR2 Friendly Mechanics on the Northern Beaches

I just purchased my first MR2 GT and would like to know if there are any MR2 friendly mechanics on the Northern Beaches? Funny thing is my father in law worked at Bill Buckles in the 90s and was the primary servicer of MR2s! But his wrists don't allow him to work on cars much anymore. Thanks!..

REV 1 rev counter (mechanical)

Any one know why a rev counter does not work while the speedo does (on a rev 1 )? Where/how does the rev counter get its signal? Thanks in Advance!..
