Gen 2 3SGE to gen 3 3SGTE conversion

Heya, I've got a gen 2 3SGE MR2 I'm currently in the process of swapping a gen 3 3sgte into. The gen 3 is currently having the block machined with ARP rod bolts and studs installed. Starting issue ‘N/A SW20 91’ thought it was alternator but now I think it’s fuel pump

EFI. Relay in engine bay fuse box.

Gen3 Turbo engine that I'm trying to get back to original with OEM ECU.Have the intank fuel pump on it's own separate circuit.The problem is that the original EFI relay is getting very hot just on normal cruise conditions.Anyone with knowledge as to why this relay would be acting up or whether it is..
