Yes they do 4wd dyno.  They also have twin fans to cool the MR2 rear engine.

The only restriction is the car ground clearance shouldn't be less than 7cm at it's lowest point.

There is limited space for this event and no money or bookings will be accepted on the day.

We have also invited the Toyota Club to this event.  They're a bigger club than us and they could easily fill the remaining spaces, so get in quick.

We'd like to see as many MR2's on the dyno as possible on Saturday 27th October.  Everyone will get a print out showing the power their car produces.  This events suits all N/A's, turbo and supercharged MR2's.

Email treasurer@mr2club.com.au for further info.

Do we get A/F ratio print outs too? How should I prep the car (minimise any dramas, have heard stories, I'm just a paranoia fella lol)

All I know is that each car will get 3 "pulls" and will receive a printout of the best result.
Also probably a good idea to bring earplugs!!
Car prepping is probably like as if you were going to a track day, but plenty of info online if you Google it.

unless you want to know how much power you've lost... then just rock up and make sure nothing's leaking ;-)

i reckon i'll beat my last dyno as it was at the end of tuning and was heat soaked, but it wont be the best the engine could do as i firmily believe the inside of my intercooler may be coated in oil from the turbo seal and i dont know what that would look like on my spark plugs lmao....

I'm looking forward to it though ;-)

Due to the volume of cars on a Dyno day they don't usually do an air/fuel ratio test/printout but they will to do it if specifically requested prior to the day (ie tell me).  The point they make is that for a A/F test, the car has to have been driven prior to the dyno to remove moisture(condensation) from the system.  So if you are driving to the event there should be no issues.  Naturally all cars will be warmed up prior to going onto the dyno.

As far as preparation is concerned, provided your car is driven on the road and serviced it should have no issues.  They will do a pull in 3rd or 4th up to red line so any driveable car should be able to do that.  Just make sure all your fluids are topped up.

Happy times!

Hi guys, any chance of letting a few rotaries on the day? If so I can put the word out to the rx8 club.
Would like to see how I compare now to my old sw20 turbo. I don't expect the ****els winning any
prizes here though!
