For the April run the club will be heading east and tackling the Misty Mountain Hop. Think relaxed tunes and cruising with the glass / roof tops down.
Meeting point & time will be 9:30am at the
PLANETARIUM CAR PARK (base of mount cootha) for a 10am departure at Mount Cootha.
- Starting the first hop will be our starting point at Mount Cootha with its short but effective hillclimb ring road and fantastic views of greater Brisbane.
- Second hop is through South Brisbane and over to Mount Gravatt lookout for a retrospective view utilising its new 40 car car park. We will be able to then squint to see further east through to mount cotton while spying where we have just come through over the lavish view of Brisbane.
- Third hop is then on and through the redlands where we will take in some of the sweeping roads leading to sirromet vineyard, manly, old cleveland light house, redland bay hotel and then onto the daisy hill koala centre.
- Officially our final destination will be the koala centre. The optional next part of the run will be Beenleigh showgrounds to attend the monthly downshift meet which then runs from 3pm into the late afternoon and evening. It is anzac day the next day so attendance to the second part of the day with the downshift meet will of course be completely optional.
The club welcomes new and old members to attend and we hope to see a good turnout of AW11's and Spyder's to join in to get some great group shots at these picturesque locations.
