Posted yesterday by the committee on the club Facebook page:

Well yesterday (Saturday) was a huge success for the NSW MR2 Club. We broke our records for the largest turnout to one of our events. I have been told the previous best for a cruise was 24 cars. So 27 cars along for the pre meet cruise was outstanding.

We then had 40 MR2's at the show location at Al Palmer Repairs in Penrith which overflowed his yard meaning some had to park on the street.

We would like to thank long standing club member and sponsor Al Palmer for his efforts in making yesterday possible. Al generously provided us the use of his yard meaning he closed up early for the day. Al Palmer has been working with Toyota for many years and provides club members with a discount on labour charges.

We would like to congratulate the winners of the show and shine

Simon Zinader - Best Standard AW11
Nick Kokoszka - Best Modified AW11
Steve Goldman - Best Standard SW20
Steve Wei -Best Modified SW20
Paul Cantero - Best Standard ZZW30
Al Palmer - Best Modified ZZW30

And the peoples choice went to Julian Pauncz

Thank you all for your support and we hope to see you at more events in the future

Great day/event. Very nice to see such a good turnout. Whilst probably not on par with the VIC event from a volume perspective, we more than made up for by way of quality

Special thanks to Paul for all the hard work he put in.

Thanks Jay, but the whole committee put in a lot of work to make the day a success, not just me :)

Nice cars and nice people! No overblown egos (not that i notice - maybe i'm the big headed one) but heaps of pride in what we have done/plan to do with these awesome little cars.

I would like to thank the commitee for all their hard work with the event. Had a great time

Thanks to everybody who voted my car as "Peoples Choice" I was totally blown away!! Was great that my peers thought that my car was good enough to win this award :)

Was expecting one of the immaculate AW11s would take out this award!

Looks like it was a great day, shame I couldn't make it.

Call me eagle eyed, but that Super Edition AW11, they were an '88 build year, does not have a brake light on the spoiler? Seems very interesting because it's assumed knowledge 88's had a incandescent bulb spoiler brake light, 89's got LED. 87's like mine had nothing at all.
Maybe it was an early 88 and got parts out of the 87's parts bin?

It wants me to log in. Would it be possible to make your album public? I don't use Facebook anymore - various reasons.....

Hi Glenn

The page should be a public page but I will double check my settings once I get home this evening. Otherwise I will share some of the photos here directly.
