Hi all,

New to this forum and I'm not 100% sure if this is the right place to post.

I'm planning to look at this SW20 tomorrow and just wondering if anyone knows much about this particular one or has an opinion regarding it's photos/description/pricing.

Hopefully will be meeting some of you in the future.

Thanks,
Pat

EDIT: Can't link the carsales ad - it's the Black SW20 with the number plates "IBOOTS" - 200k kms priced at 9.5k

I don't know this car but...are you sure you want to spend $9.5K on an N/A mr2 with 200,000kms on the clock?
Even turbo cars with less Kms usually go for quite significantly less than this...
It's rare for N/A to sell for more than $6-7k. Check the "For Sale - Cars Only" section on this very website and you'll see quite a few mr2 for sale in better condition for less. EDIT: slightly edited as this was somewhat inappropriate.

Hey Pat, I don't know the car personally, but it must be in fantastic condition if he's asking $9,500 for it. As a comparison I paid $9K for my 97 Bathurst with 124,000 kms on it. My car was totally original with full service history.

What a load of rubbish. I can't remember the last good Bathurst that sold for that amount. Probably because there hasn't been one. And yes. I do check on Carsales often.

With MR2's , you get what you pay for. Cheap almost always = rough. (EDIT) And trying to talk the price of good N/As down to try and sell your own car is just a great way to get a lot of people on this forum offside too.   Especially when it's based on BULL%$!%.

And Rick, didn't you pay $10,500 for yours?

Mine was advertised for that, but I managed to pick it up cheaper as the front bumper has seen better days and was missing the reo bar....I've since replaced the reo. I think someone had backed into it and it had had a very cheap repair. The AC condenser has a slight bow in it, but works fine.

P.S.  Hi Pat. Good luck with the hunt. Bathurst MR2's are great cars… and don't generally suffer from a lot of the issues that can come with imports. At least you know that what the odometer says is accurate!

Haha, someone is a little bit too passionate about this.
I could be wrong, and happy to be told I am wrong if that's the case, but jeeessh lol.
