On the 28/07/12 finally started to make some progress with the engine after waiting on parts from toyota. while we were waiting replaced handbrake cables which is a pain so had to drop fuel tank to get the bolts so glad engine was out though can imagaine doing it with it in, also painted bumpers. So first thing saturday morning Replaced all seals, thermostat, waterpump, resealed timing chain cover and with that new o-ring for timing chain tensioner.
Than for the fun of chaining engines over and flywheel and clutch, and with a little persuasion got the the engine reattached to gearbox. like to mention also that we didnt unplugged any of the SMT components as once you unplugged everything from engine just kept the wiring lume over the gear box.

so once the engine was attached just plugged wiring lume back to there spots.
By end of day we had the engine mounted and pipes all back in and lume plugged back into ecu.
On the 29/07/12 started the morning putting the final pieces in the engine and reconnected the exhaust and put the airbox and battery components, all the arms and wheels. than gave it some fluids.
once all that was done turned the key to check smt green light was solid in N and checked gear changed into 1st and reverse. all good. than startup at first nothing gave it another go and started nicely.
Put the bumper back on and took it for a drive round the block. going really well and acceleration is so much powerful than other engine. so defiantly noticing the difference in power and funny enough this engine is quieter.
While bumpers were off experimented with Plasti dip on the plastic grills on the car with were dark grey to matt black.

Also painted the brake calipers
