That's accurate.

Unfortunately I'm in the process of sending the Juran Racing heavy shift knob back. I'm hoping Nengun are easy to work with and are happy to replace it - after a day of driving I noticed there is multiple dimples/scratches in the finish of the shift knob. You can feel it whenever your fingers "slide" across the knob and in my opinion, this shouldn't be the case considering the price

New exhaust is on! I absolutely love the look of the new Fujitsubo. I feel like it's very fitting and basically just an "OEM plus" part

For anyone considering purchasing one, I'd highly recommend however take note - it is as quiet as the stock one! If anything quieter (my stock one's internals were probably a bit munted in comparison). I had my mechanic install it as I was defeated by the downpipe when trying to do it myself (the nuts were just absolutely seized) and he was very impressed by the build quality of the Legalis R system

I intend on taking the car to a dyno at some point. I'm not overly fussed with power figures but moreso to get an AFR check and to see if there is any 'dips' in the powerband - maybe there's a hidden nasty I don't know about!

Couple more parts in the mail to come, super excited!

The Fujitsubo exhaust looks fantastic! Your OEM 'plus' description hits the nail on the head. Interested to find out what else arrives in the mail :D!

Thanks mate! Just a few quality of life/aesthetic fixes coming in but I'm very excited for them

I'll have to catch up with you sometime so you can check out the new exhaust!

Not necessarily a car mod but MR2 related; I ordered two posters from NZ-based Hive Posters (you can find them on Facebook and Etsy). Just wanted to share the artwork here in case anyone else is interested.

I must say I'm extremely happy with the work. Dealing with Joel the graphic designer was a pleasant experience as he is an MR2 owner himself (supercharged AW11). Unfortunately I can't hang them just yet as I'll need permission before smacking nails into the in-laws houses' walls haha

The first poster is a custom commission, designed to look like my car. It's not spot on but that's because I explained to him what I want the car to look like later down the track rather than how it looks now. Second poster displays the 5 different revisions the SW20 came in

So I haven't really done too much recently due to working hours, etc. Just a usual oil & filter service, changing out the sump plug this time for a magnetic Greddy plug. Main reason for this is because I want to see if it does collect any shavings, etc. as it might be a early warning for future troubles

Swapped out the Juran shift knob and returned it due to defects in the finish of the shift knob. Instead I ordered a Type R-style shift knob and aluminium bushings from Prime Driven (USA) and I must say, it's probably my favourite gear knob in terms of "how it feels in the hand" and the bushings made a subtle, but firm difference

Also gave my best (and first ever!) attempt at refreshing the tail lights. Wetsanded down with 800 then 2000grit, cleared using a Rustoleum Clear Coat (for plastic use). I'm pretty happy with the outcome but I think I'll need to do a quick wetsand over them again - the "orange peel" isn't too bad considering its my first ever attempt at 'painting' anything, but the finish feels almost like sandpaper. Might give them a good buff/polish after that and I think they'll come out looking even better

Do you also ironically tell all your passengers to "brace themselves"?
