I'm perfectly happy with the OEM struts anyway. I'd actually prefer it that way but maybe just a slight drop (either TRD or similar high quality springs)
 
If I were to find myself a full set of ADM OEM suspension, what would be the best things to do? I was thinking Koni Yellow inserts with some form of lowered spring

Edit: I have the exact same front wheel specs, hence why coils won't be happening

The Konis are probably the best inserts. After that probably tokico and then KYB AGX. They all are all adjustable. My mate has the KYBs and is quite happy.

If you run a search through the forum you'll find some anecdotes and opinions about the different spring and strut combos. I ended up going with sealed bilstein B6 dampers and eibach pro kit springs. Very happy with on street performance and the ride height is similar to the factory 93+ spring. My decision to go with the billies was driven by a desire to keep my car authentic and their well known reputation for manufacturing the best shock absorbers money can buy.

Don't forget to do a once over and check all your ball joints, bushings and brake lines while you're in under there.

Considering I strictly daily driver and maybe get into the occasional track days, Konis may be overkill so I'll check out the other two you suggested. A lot of people seem to enjoy the 93+ spring combined with a quality insert such as Koni or KYB so I'll check that out

At the tech day my car was given a pretty good look over. Ball joints seem okay, will probably get the bushings re-done at some stage and new stainless braided brake lines have already been ordered!

Fronts are 17x8 +35 and rears are 17x9+ +35. Ordered from Autotechnik in Sydney, only cost $60 freight to get them to Gold Coast, QLD

Deep down still wanting to get a set of Weds TC105Ns however

Very interested in seeing what suspension combo you go with. You will need to take me for a spin around the block once it's all done so I can feel the difference. I will need to check and see if my struts are rebuildable for future reference.

At the moment it's a matter of how much I decide to spend. Personally I believe Koni Yellows with Eibach Springs is the way to go but I'm still deciding if Konis are necessary, and if I'd be happier with just 93+ springs as they are better suited for daily driving.. hmm. Decisions!

The factory 93+ springs offer a good ride height but would be a bit soft for any track work. They are rated at 2.3kg/mm Front and 3.6kg/mm Rear. Eibachs are about 50% stiffer at 3.75 / 5.4.
 
The factory springs might work to give you better stability if you drive fast on crap Australian roads. 

Gave my first attempt ever at doing a Valve Cover Gasket. Shout out to our new forum sponsor PURE MR2 for organising the parts and having them delivered next business day just in time for the weekend! Although I must admit I did not enjoy the repair at all.. the job itself was easy but getting the valve cover out seemed to be the trickiest thing. I think this was mostly due to the fact that there were a few extra pieces I should of taken off while I was doing this swap to get more accessibility - namely the throttle body and OEM catch can. Lesson learned is to be more patient and it's always easier to take stuff off and put it back on when you're done then to try playing tetris with your car parts to get them out

Unfortunately did not take any photos of the process as I was not having a grand time doing it and just wanted the job over with (I tend to make things more difficult than they need to be). Accidentally broke the factory VTV as well by trying to push cam cover-side hose to the side. Apparently this is quite common as it's just a thin plastic valve in a hot engine bay and tends to get brittle after 23-24 years of service..

Still working out what my plan for the suspension is. I was considering coilovers at this stage but I need some reassurance of what brands will clear the 215/40 R17 +35 fronts

Whats your alignment like? I've heard people can fit the coilovers okay if the wheels have next to no negative camber, is that what you had to do?
