I haven't read that article but be very careful when doing adjustments at the pedal to maintain the correct
amount of free play. Your mechanic probably got it as good as possible with the new disk anyway.

The Queensland Chapter had their Annual Tech Day so I decided to tag along for the first time. Awesome day, learned a lot I think! Unfortunately had a few things pointed out about my own car that need attention so I'll try my best to jump onto them. Braided brake lines are already on their way and now I just need to find a suitable suspension replacement.. don't want to go Coilovers so I'll need to do some research on upgraded shock inserts!

Unfortunately no photos of the workshop itself as I was asked not to post them for insurance reasons, so I only have a single updated shot of the car plus an awesome staggered side profile, courtesy of Lumix!

If your car still has the original suspension, you won't be able to go with inserts. I believe the JDM cars came with factory black bilsteins which are sealed from factory.

Options would be to track down aussie delivered struts which have the gland nut on the top or replace the whole strut.

Thank you, I'm very happy with them. Thinking I may still pick up another set of wheels in the future..
Been dying to see what a set of proper Weds TC105Ns would look like on it!

I believe the car does still have the original suspension, so sounds like I'm boned..
I've never played with suspension bits to be honest so I'll need to get a proper look at them.

Unfortunately coilovers won't be an option due to my wheel specs.. there may be a certain brand that could fit but I'd have to do some heavy research first

Yes even with struts my front wheels only have a few mm clearance. 17x8 +35 at the front. Even then you won't be able to max out the camber without rubbing on the inside.

With coilovers I'll be brutally honest, you can pay less and get a cheap brand but you'll probably never be truly happy with them. Struts are the way to go for the street and are the most cost effective option I reckon. Would not go for anything less than KW Variant 3 for a coilover set up.

I'm perfectly happy with the OEM struts anyway. I'd actually prefer it that way but maybe just a slight drop (either TRD or similar high quality springs)

If I were to find myself a full set of ADM OEM suspension, what would be the best things to do? I was thinking Koni Yellow inserts with some form of lowered spring

Edit: I have the exact same front wheel specs, hence why coils won't be happening
